Welcome Home to Heaven Party... NOT YET!

Dear Jo,

I love you and I always will.  You are the ONLY one for me.

I'm sorry that I seem to ignore you at the party's that you have been attending, but it's not your time.  I am waiting for you... I will be the first one you see at your big Welcome Home to Heaven party, when you are driven to Heaven in a Limo... that's when you'll really get to see me and be with me.

Not right now, OK?  I am still crazy about you and love the feeling that you give me when you notice me, just like always.

Relax.  Enjoy your good health and our kids, all of them love you.  Our Great Grandson is a joy, I wish I could hug him, can you hug him so that I can experience it through you?

Eddie is here with me, he loves hearing you play the piano.  I do too, your music fills me with joy.

Our Susie is doing the best that she can, be nice to her, she loves you very much.  You should really eat more dark leafy vegetables like she tries to get you to do, it will help you to feel stronger.

Your time for your Welcome Home to Heaven Party hasn't come, but when it is your time, the party will be the BEST party you have ever attended.

Stay with God.

Love,

Your Ed
My mom believes that she is seeing my dad in the supermarkets and at parties that she has in her mind.  My brother Ed who passed in 2001 visits her a lot, he sleeps in her recliner.  I try to get her to eat dark greens, but she has the tastebuds of a 5 year old, everything is icky.  Maybe if my dad tells her to eat them, she will force herself.

Not long ago I told her that when she does die one day, when her Earth Suit wears out, there will be a HUGE party, welcoming her home to Heaven.  I told her that my dad will be there and all of her family and friends who have passed.  I told her that all the Angels will be at the party and they'll sing her favorite song to her.

My dad was an Airport Limousine driver.  He loved driving people back and forth from their trips, business folks, folks going on vacation.  I told my mom that my dad is responsible for taking the newly deceased and teaching them how to live in Heaven.  My dad then drives the bus to heaven.

My mom wants to get on the buses that she sees, she tries to get in line but can't.   She wants me to get on the bus with her and go to the party.  I told her that I don't want to go with her because I have more living to do... once you get on the Bus to Heaven, it's over, you can't come back to Earth in the same Suit.

This Love Letter post from my dad is an email that I will send to my mom.  This is the first love letter.  I will post follow ups.

Peace out!

  1. What a sweet letter. You have a good heart. Seeing our parents get older is not easy. Mine are doing well but I see moments where my mom isn't completely clear. It makes me nervous for the future.

    You're a good daughter, Susan.
